Transferring Contracts to UV Insurance

On Friday, June 6, 2025, BMO Life and UV Insurance entered into an agreement to transfer certain portfolios from BMO Life to UV Insurance.

If you are one of the customers affected by this transition, you should have received a letter advising you of the details that apply to you.

Please note that your contract number, terms, conditions and benefits, e.g., your premiums and benefits, will remain unchanged. Your coverage, and the services you receive, will not be interrupted.

You are receiving this letter because your insurance contract is currently in effect, or your contract has been terminated and its provisions may allow you to reinstate it. Please note that you may withdraw your consent to the use, communication and disclosure of your personal information at any time. You may also ask us to destroy it. Your personal information is used and retained only for the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Yes, the pre-authorized debit process will remain unchanged. If you are currently using an existing PAD agreement, no further action is necessary. Please note that beginning on the date of this letter, all payments previously scheduled for the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the month will now take place on the 28th of the month.

 

Cheques payable to BMO Insurance for June 2025 will be honoured as issued. For the following months, please issue new cheques payable to UV Insurance and mail them to the following address:

Please note that it is possible to automate your premium payments through direct debit. The form to fill out is available here.

If you choose to pay your premiums through your financial institution’s digital banking platform, simply change the supplier name to UV Assurance Canada or UV Insurance Canada. If you have any questions, please reach out to your financial institution.

 

Yes, the Air Miles program will continue under the same conditions, and your points will be transferred automatically.
