UV Insurance is one of the largest donors to this organization, providing local action to mitigate the effects of poverty and social exclusion. Every year, UV and its employees run a major thematic campaign through to make a difference in the region. This year, thanks to their generosity, a record amount of $31,987 was raised for United Way.
The organizations associated with United Way across Canada are helping to improve living conditions, promote the success of young people, break social isolation and build cohesive communities. The pandemic is hitting these charities hard and they need support and generosity in order to continue their mission. “Community engagement has always been part of our values. In today’s environment, we must act and work together more than ever. That is why we are choosing to offer additional financial assistance to United Way so that they can continue to change lives,” said Christian Mercier, Chief Executive Officer. This year, UV decided to add $25,000 on behalf of itself and all its business partners, for a total donation of more than $50,000 to support the cause.
UV Insurance is expanding its presence across the country and is working with partners throughout Quebec and Canada. “Through this unprecedented global crisis, we are pleased to make this gesture of solidarity in their honour,” he said.
